Cloud Protection: How to Avoid Emergency-Related Outages

It’s hard to believe that with the technology that we have today, data centers can be wiped out with a single hit, as it did with Hurricane Sandy. There are several ways to minimize this from happening:

1. Identify a compliant cloud service provider

2. Configure remote mirrored virtual machines

3. Setup the failover to be more than just DNS

4. Perform regular failover tests.

By having a back-up plan you can eliminate the chance for an outage happening in the event of a disaster.
