More computing power does not equate to a need for larger data centers. In fact, with the introduction of the mobile phone, we’re looking at much smaller components that will be able to run future data centers. This change in technology will result in a reduction in hardware size to the implementation o non-proprietary hardware. Traditionally, data centers had to rely on proprietary hardware which, in turn, increased cost. The advent of mobile phones will lead to faster data centers that cost less to manage and have a reduced footprint.
